The Changing Democracies documentary, Is Democracy Worth The Trouble?, is now live on YouTube, following its premiere last year as part of an interactive scroll experience.

The film draws on the Changing Democracies project's collection of testimonies from people who lived through Europe's democratic transitions — the struggle, uncertainty, disappointment and hope that shaped them. Featuring first-hand accounts gathered by partners in more than ten countries, it asks what democracy actually demands of the people who live under it, and under its absence.
